Collection: Orvil Jack Turquoise

In 1956, Orvil Jack moved his family to Nevada and claimed a turquoise mine initially known as Blue Ridge in Crescent Valley. This mine is known for producing highly collectible stones in vivid greens, yellows, and blues. Orvil’s daughter, Grace, recalls that he preferred the blue turquoise and often discarded the now highly prized green stones. Around 1983, Orvil began focusing on mining the brilliant lime green turquoise, and after his death in 1986, Grace managed the mining operations with the assistance of master bead makers Bob Hall and Lee Louden.
