Rick Tolino is a distinguished contemporary Navajo silversmith whose exceptional talent has garnered him numerous awards and widespread recognition. Born in Gallup, New Mexico, in 1961, Rick grew up in Coyote Canyon on the Navajo Reservation. He began his journey into silversmithing during high school and has since mastered the craft, creating a wide array of jewelry, including belt buckles, bracelets, pins, rings, and pendants. His exquisite work has been featured in prominent publications such as Arizona Highways, Cowboys and Indians magazine, and Theda Bassman’s book, The Beauty of Navajo Jewelry. Rick's creations are celebrated for their beauty and craftsmanship, making him one of the great contemporary Navajo jewelry designers.
